This week’s Paper Player Challenge is the a themed challenge called Into the Woods. The challenge is to include elements like woodgrain paper, wood texture, trees, cabins, forest critters, plaid, etc. If you have never tried to play along with a challenge, you should give it a try. It gets you creating outside of your usual….. Here is my interpretation/creation for this week’s challenge.
I decided on the Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper from Stampin’Up! This paper comes in a 48 sheet, 6″ x 6″ pack. The gold , perfect for holiday projects. The small metallic strip in this plaid is absolutely stunning! I combined a few of the elements from the October 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit, along with the Winter Woods stamp set and dies. The ” Winter Wishes” font is so elegant especially stamped with Night of Navy ink on Shimmery White cardstock. The shimmer is carried through on the birch trees too. The lone cardinal die adds just the right “pop” of color along with the gold glitter enamel elements from the limited Christmastime is Here! product suite which became available to order on November 1st. See the entire suite of products HERE
If you have not experienced Paper Pumpkin, what are you waiting for? It is a box of goodness delivered to your mailbox every month.
With the season of “giving” fast approaching, Paper Pumpkin makes a great gift that keeps on giving month after month…. I have gift certificates available too. For more details or to subscribe click HERE
Today is the final project for the 12 Weeks of Halloween! 2019 I would like to thank you for joining me on this fun series of projects. I hope that you will continue to follow me with the “Season of Thanks” series throughout the month of November.
For the final project, I was finding myself having a lot of bits and pieces of the Monster Bash DSP and a few, but very few enamel shapes. I was inspired to create this card using the sampler technique which is so very popular right now.
Here is a demonstration tutorial with measurements and details for making this card. Enjoy and Happy Halloween!
It’s a sketch challenge from Ann at Paper Players! PP465

Wow! Here we are week 11 and Halloween is just 4 days away. If you haven’t already…. take a look at the Tiny Keepsake Bundle on page 21 of the 2019 Stampin’Up! Holiday Catalog. This little bundle really packs a punch when it comes to treat holders, table favors or tree ornaments! Here are just a few of the Halloween holders I created, along with a bit of inspiration for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
These are so easy to make and a 12″ x 12″ sheet of Designer Series Paper makes 4 of these little beauties. Enjoy the demonstration video and as always, I love comments and be sure to like and share…

Today I decided to play along with the Paper Players and their challenge for the week is a Clean and Simple Challenge which includes a say it “LOUD” meaning make a large sentiment as the focal point with layers and embellishments at a minimum.
For my card, I used the Sorry for Everything stamp set and the beautiful Feels Like Frost 6’x6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper comes in a 48 sheet pack of 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. The reverse is a stunning whisper white and metallic silver!
Again, this card was simply stamped using Night of Navy Classic Ink and layered with a narrow margin of Night of Navy cardstock. Let Stampin’Up! do the color coordination for you!
Here is a list of the supplies I used for this clean and simple card:
Do you remember paper rosettes! That was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the Coffin Treat boxes in the 2019 Stampin’Up! Holiday catalog. I think these coffin treat boxes are a great value at 12 lids and 12 bottoms for just $7! If you would like a copy of the catalog, click HERE, and I will mail one out to you!
I just couldn’t wait to share this project with you, as I think it may be my favorite thus far. Watch the video to find out more about the peeping skeleton… Remember to like, comment and share. I love seeing your comments. Also, if you make any of the project in my 12 week series, please post them on my Facebook page- Create with Brenda Crafters to get in to win my monthly give-away!
